ZOE DUVALL (Outbeing) (UK): Strategy

Outbeing is a regenerative travel business with a simple mission: to connect more people with nature, regeneratively. We’re building better ways to get out of the city, ones that leave places better than we found them.

It starts with our design-led campervans. They’re 100% electric and gas-free, thoughtfully designed to make adventure achievable, low impact and inspiring.

From there, we connect them with a hand-picked network of places doing good things for the land. Think regenerative farms, rewilding projects, wild swimming spots and remote saunas. Every trip gives something back. A percentage of each booking goes to urban rewilding, and we encourage guests to support the places they visit.

We’re guided by Earth Care, Human Care and Fair Share. It’s the kind of trip you come back from feeling better about, in every sense.

Hektor gives back more than it takes, which is exactly what we’re trying to do with Outbeing. January feels like the right time to step back, get some perspective and learn from a place that’s already doing it.

The big question we’re bringing with us is how to share the Outbeing experience with more people and get more people travelling regeneratively. We’ll test a few small ideas while we’re here, but we also want plenty of time on the finca with the animals and the huerta.

Getting here is part of the project. We’re travelling overland, electric and without flying. To show how the slow, inconvenient route can be more rewarding and prove it's doable.

We also have some creative ideas about how we intend to document our journey, time at Hektor and outcomes of the project, we expect these to evolve and be mixed medium.
