Past Artist Residencies
Rich Rawling has been exploring the elusive nature of watercolour for decades. In the fall of 2023 he will do so at Hektor.
During her stay at Hektor, Stacy Brafield will be working on a new artist book: show up that documents Kjøkkenhage (The Kitchen Garden).
During his residency at Hektor Amit Berman (IL) created a series of paintings and photographs focusing on the personal and interpersonal experience around the island, while emphasizing intimacy, fleeting moments and delicacy in the queer relationship.
The residency changed Matthew for the better, recharged their creativity and activist spirit, and sparked new ideas and approaches for their future practice/s and projects.
Stephen Thompson researched and explored the human vitality of Lanzarote related to the body.
The scenic change provided Richard with a transformative residency.
Drawing inspiration from the worlds of Almodovar and Manrique, Karina Soors, the founder of Studio Woot Woot, a creative agency, has crafted an installation that allows guests to create their own sunrise and sunset against the breathtaking backdrop of the valley view.
