200 Trees, Over 20 Different Varieties: A Flourishing Oasis

At our land, we hold a deep ambition to foster biodiversity. While our huertos already thrive with a diverse array of vegetables, we have taken a step further by embarking on a tree-planting journey over the past year and a half.

When we first arrived, we discovered a couple of aging fruit trees—the guava tree and the mulberry bush. Their ripe fruits delighted us, igniting our desire to expand the number of trees in our garden. The sheer pleasure of harvesting one's own fruits inspired us to take action.

Since then, we have meticulously added more trees, ensuring a wide variety not only to prevent diseases from spreading but also to maintain the health of our soil. Among our flourishing arboreal companions, you'll discover a tapestry of three types of olive trees, various fig trees, lemon and lime trees, succulent mango and banana trees, an assortment of oranges and grapefruits, kaki, almond, pomegranate, nectarine, and papaya trees. In our pursuit of creating symbiotic relationships, we have even introduced lavender to thrive alongside our citrus trees, warding off pests and safeguarding their well-being.

While most of our trees are still young and taking root, this year will mark the first harvest of certain fruits, alongside the bountiful yields of guava and mulberry that grace our land annually. If you happen to be in the vicinity, we encourage you to check the season and witness nature's splendor for yourself.

Join us in this flourishing oasis of 200 trees, encompassing over 20 distinct varieties. Our commitment to diversity and the fruits of our labor are a testament to our passion for sustainable agriculture. Visit us and revel in the beauty of our ever-growing garden!
