Our visit to Lanzarote was to run a marathon. The island has great conditions all year round for any sportsperson. Here is what is definitely on our bucket and/or admiration list for the. upcoming years.

Lanzarote International Marathon

Taking you from Teguise to Puerto Del Carmen (and back!), this marathon boasts sea views for your entire run. This is not one of those big runs like New York or Berlin, but still it attracts international runners and athletes every year.

GR131

This 71.5 km long distance footpath practically runs through our farmlands. It takes you from the north of Lanzarote down to the south (or the other way around), starting in Órzola down to Playa Blanca. You will see all the different shades of Lanzarotes volcanic landscape and at the same time challenge yourself with some steep climbing.

Ironman Lanzarote

There’s only one official Ironman on the Canary Islands, despite the great climate the islands have. Hosted by La Santa, this race each year attracts both amateurs and professionals.
