As our Indian summer begins (it lasts until December, and then spring starts - sorry, not sorry) we’re ready to share some summer love (a quick mango salad that’ll impress you and everyone at your table) as well as looking ahead at some winter goodies, like pastel de nata!

A quick spicy mango salad

Today I’ll be sharing two stories from WeAnimals. None of them will make you happy, I’m sorry, but they have to be told.

In the US, North Dakota, one corporation wants to build a two megafarms that for 37500 dairy cows. A number like that dulls the imagination, tens of thousands of individuals trapped in cycles of confinement, impregnation, separation, and milking.

Alongside people, animals die

While we are grimly looking at the genocide in Gaza, the animals in the region are dying too. Only one rescue centre is still active and animals are underfed and often get harmed by attacks too.

It’s time to put a stop to any kind of violence, to any kind. Now.
